The K70 combi folding machine from MBO is currently one of the top-selling products. Since Drupa 2016, where the machine was first presented to the industry, 40 have been sold (status: May 2017).
The popularity of the K70 is the result of its simple, robust design and also its good price-performance ratio. The machine is based on the technology successfully used for several years in the K760E. As a result, it is a highly reliable and tough workhorse with no gimmicks or gadgets. This large format folding machine is ideal for producing signatures, flyers and other similar products. As it is only available in a manual version, it is the perfect solution for medium-length print runs.
With a production speed of 210 m/min, it is faster than its predecessor. In addition, the K70 comes with the new M1 control system, including a touch screen, which makes it easy to set up. High-precision pneumatic crossfold and threefold knives allow for a faster throughput and also keep wear to a minimum. Customers can choose between pile, palletized and continuous feeders, between 4 and 6 buckle plates in the parallel unit and between KL and Super-KTL configurations. The Vivas package is available as an option. Vivas, with its tried-and-tested Vacubelt, gives an improved sheet infeed and a perfect sheet alignment, as a result of the Vacutable pneumatic register table.
