The GENERATION NEWS Platesetter redefines productivity. It offers automated plate-loading capacity - up to 1,600 plates with four cassettes. You can bring up to four plate formats online, increasing flexibility and uptime and reducing the number of plate lines you need to support multiple presses.

It automatically selects the proper plate size, based on the job, and has a throughput of up to 300 plates per hour at 1270 dpi – all in a compact footprint designed for maximum plate production in tight prepress areas.


GENERATION NEWS Platesetters are fully compatible with KODAK SONORA Process Free Plates, so you can transform your plate making operation to be more efficient and economical. General Specifications
Technology 830 nm laser thermal imaging, fully automatic, external drum
Loading/unloading 4 cassettes (standard). Each cassette holds up to 400 plates of the same size and thickness.
Optional: Capability to have up to 4 different formats online.
Fully automated; the cassette with the correct size plate is automatically selected according to the job definition. The unit automatically loads and unloads plates and removes slip sheets. Slip sheets are easily accessible from a front bin and can be removed while the platesetter is running.
