Beijing, CHINA, Tuesday, May 09, 2017 —
Publishing and Packaging Print Service Providers visiting China Print should not miss the opportunity to see how Kodak’s continuous inkjet technology can help them expand and streamline their service offering.
On the Kodak booth (Hall E2, 121), Kodak OEM partner BOOSTECH will demonstrate the BoostJET press – a 330mm (A3) black & white roll-to-cut-sheet device. Utilizing the KODAK Stream Inkjet Writing System to print excellent quality at speeds of up to 150 meters per minute, the press delivers running-cost savings of 40% and more compared to laser printing. Live book-printing demonstrations will take place throughout the show.
Qiu Jianming, General Manager, BOOSTECH, comments: “Publishers in China are seeing a big trend towards shorter run book-printing, especially as Print-on-Demand for trade books and specialty journals are growing. This trend, together with the rise in custom publishing, makes it vital for publishers to ensure they have the right equipment to maximize their profit margins as well as productivity, which is exactly what the BoostJET promises to deliver.”
The advantages of utilizing the KODAK PROSPER S-Series Imprinting System in packaging production is demonstrated on the SHANGHAI DRAGON booth (Hall W3, 038). Implemented as a single black head on a SHANGHAI DRAGON folding and gluing line printing at speeds up to 300mpm, packaging PSPs will see how they can expand their offering through imprinting in a hybrid environment.
Rodd Harrison, Sales & Marketing Director, Enterprise Inkjet System, Asia-Pacific region, Kodak, adds: “As the demand for mass versioning and customization of packaging grows globally, hybrid offset and digital printing is becoming a very important part of packaging providers’ offerings. So, as a key part of the global supply chain, Chinese Packaging printers are investing more and more in hybrid and digital production technology to integrate onto their packaging production lines. KODAK Stream Inkjet Technology enables digital print opportunities for a wider range of applications than ever before, and visitors to China Print should not miss the opportunity to see this first-hand on the SHANGHAI DRAGON booth.”
Visitors to the booth can also see the latest samples printed with KODAK ULTRASTREAM Technology, the next-generation inkjet technology announced by Kodak in 2016, to compare the advanced quality it delivers to compared to conventional offset printing.
