DUSSELDORF, GERMANY, Monday, May 30, 2016 —
Kodak is showcasing its future developments in software solutions, including Cloud Services , with a focus to deliver even more efficiency, quality and flexibility for print and packaging service providers than ever before.
Cloud Services will offer PSPs a new way to minimize cost and risk with increased operational efficiency. It will also enable users to run predictive analytics in real-time from anywhere. This important capability will provide visibility into aggregate production costs and/or system performance in real-time, as well as performance over a period of time.
PRINERGY Workflow will also include a new universal Digital Job Ticket Editor , making it the industry’s first workflow that lets both offset and digital printing operators make production decisions in real time.
Kodak’s latest version of KODAK INSITE Creative Workflow, which is now 100% Java Free and includes new features including a redesigned HTML5-based Smart Review user interface for a more user-friendly experience and increased security by removing vulnerabilities associated with other web-based platforms, will also be demonstrated on the stand.
Packaging print service providers will see the how the future upgrades to Kodak’s Unified Workflow Solutions will address their specific needs. This will include:
- PRINERGY Workflow will include significant enhancements to Maxtone SX Screening for four color applications, support for XMP Screening assignments from other workflow systems and compliance with the latest Ghent Workgroup packaging industry standards.
- INSITE Prepress Portal will support PRINERGY Workflow’s Preflight+, which identifies possible printing errors immediately by using the latest industry standards, ensuring improved proofing quality and client satisfaction. Web browser security is also improved through the removal of the Flash component.
- COLORFLOW Software, which now carries the G7, ISO12647-9 Certifications, enables printers to address even the most demanding brand owners’ requirements. Harmony users can migrate to ColorFlow Software to ensure a more integrated approach.
- PANDORA Step-and-Repeat Software to identify waste areas during die-cutting, support for non-continuous color bars and a new auto ganging feature that recognizes non-rectangular shapes – most common in packaging – for improved sheet utilization.
Allan Brown, General Manager for Kodak’s Unified Workflow Solutions, says: “Kodak’s workflow automation software not only offers print and packaging PSPs the functionality to reduce waste and job turnaround times, but also to maximize operational efficiency. Part of this includes the benefit of the using one single workflow for hybrid PSPs, which is another powerful tool for our customers to have. Customers and prospects should not miss the opportunity to see how their investment will help them drive their businesses forward in the future.”
